This illustration was created using Affinity Designer, a vector-based design application that provides various tools for producing clean and high-quality illustrations. During the design process, I used the Pen Tool to create precise shapes for the character’s body, clothing, hair, and background elements. Each object was placed on separate layers to make editing colors and adjusting shapes easier. In addition, I used the Fill Tool and color settings to create a simple, neat, and consistent flat design style.

The composition of this design focuses on the main subject, which is a soccer player preparing to kick the ball. The character is positioned slightly to the left, creating a balanced composition with the ball placed in the lower-right corner. The background is kept simple with elements such as a fence, a building, and a bright blue sky so that it does not distract from the main subject. The combination of the light blue jersey, green field, and yellow soccer ball creates enough contrast to draw the viewer’s attention to the player’s movement.

In my opinion, creating this design has a moderate level of difficulty. The main challenge was drawing the correct proportions of the human body and positioning each body part so the player appears to be naturally kicking the ball. In addition, creating every object with vector lines required careful attention to detail and patience to achieve a clean result. Although the process took some time, it became much easier after understanding the basic features of Affinity Designer, such as using layers, the Pen Tool, and vector coloring techniques.
